Recycling is important for our planet. Every year, about 292.4 million tons of garbage are produced in the United States alone.
Currently, there is 5.25 trillion pieces of garbage in the oceans, which kill lots of wildlife. Similarly, ground water sources are polluted due to the billions of tons of garbage in landfills.
To save wildlife and clean our water systems, we must recycle. Below are instructions on how to recycle different materials.
Below is a video covering recycling.
Organize your recyclables into paper, platic, and glass. Please refer to your county/state/local recycling centers because some plastics are not recycled in your area. Refer to the bottom of your plastic recyclables because something then you can see the plastic in which you need to recycle.
Multiple people put paper recyclables in the wrong area(ex: putting paper in plastic) Make sure you put the right recyclables in the right area, and put trash in the trash can and not in the recycling can.
